Where can I buy shoes in bulk?

American Made Soccer Shoes

  • I would like to find a quality soccer shoe that is made in the in the good ole U.S. of A. It seems like the bulk of quality shoes these days are made in China and I am trying to buy fewer imports.

    New Balance advertises itself as made in the USA., but they've discontinued their soccer shoes. http://www.johann-sandra.com/misc-soccer-shoes.htm lists some soccer shoes made in the US, but site is all wonky and the links are all dead. (In fact, it is probably a bad idea to click on those links.) I've got to go to sleep, but you could use the brands listed--Spot-Bilt, Zephz, New Balance--and the model numbers as a starting pint for some ebay searches. I'd personally seek out the discontinued New Balances.

New Balance still makes shoes in America, but I believe their brief foray into soccer shoes wasn't an American made shoe. Zephz apparently makes a shoe in the U.S.A., but I've never heard of anybody wearing them, and don't know if they make adult shoes (assuming adult). That said, I love my Diadora Brasil Axeler RTX14, which has a tag inside it that says "Made in Bulgaria". I know it's not USA, but it's not Asia.

Soccer isnt really a big deal in America, which I am sure you are aware of. As such major American shoe companies don't have much of a reason to locate their production facilities here. I would go with a European source.

http://www.shoebuy.com/new-balance-sc502/29058/29058 are some New Balance football/soccer cleats. http://www.newbalancetampa.com/mens/team-sports/football/are some more. I'm not sure if the same cleats can be used for both (US) football and soccer, but from a quick look at the website, they can. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Balance is based in Boston, and still maintains a manufacturing presence in the US (as at 2007, acording to Wikipedia).
