Daily MT blog post for del.icio.us links with one specific tag
-
How do I get a daily post to my Movable Type 3.2 blog of my del.icio.us links with one particular tag? I know how to set up a daily post of all my del.icio.us links using the "daily blog post" in the del.icio.us settings (instructions are at http://www.commoncraft.com/archives/001028.html if you are interested), but can't figure out how to limit that to links with one specific tag. Right now, for my blog, http://library.coloradocollege.edu/steve/, I tag some of my del.icio.us links with "see_also," then use the http://del.icio.us/help/linkrolls to display just those items tagged "see_also" in a sidebar on my blog. Then I use FeedBurner's http://blogs.feedburner.com/feedburner/archives/000683.html to insert those same items to my RSS feed as a daily feed item. This works OK, but I'd prefer to have them show up as a bona fide blog entry, integrating those links with my blog archives, allowing comments on those posts, allowing me to axe the sidebar, etc. I'm not prepared to switch from either MT or del.icio.us.

Answer:
The best thing I can think of would be to find a Movable Type plugin that takes an RSS feed and reposts it to your blog. If you could find one that only checks/posts daily and point it at the RSS feed for that tag on your account (http://del.icio.us/rss/username/tag), you would basically have the same thing as the daily blog posting without using the daily blog posting. Upon a quick search, the only thing that comes up that looks kind of like this is http://code.appnel.com/feeds-app, but it costs money and there's no FAQ/detailed about section, so I'm not sure if it's actually what I'm trying to find. I'd say your best bet is doing something on the MT plugin side.

Another one: http://www.reblog.org/mt/README.html (free, but it looks like it requires that you log in to your MT account and tell it to post the stuff manually?)

Thanks, ckolderup, I'll look into reblog, thought if I have to do it manually, that won't really be an improvement. evariste, I forgot to mention that my MT install isn't on mysql (I know, I know). Otherwise, that would probably be the way to go. Thanks!

I think the http://www.movalog.com/archives/plugins/blogroll/delicious-digg-integration does this.
