There's no IP address associated with a Yahoo Messenger ID. The user's device will, of course, have an IP address. But depending upon they type of service they're using you may not be able to confirm it. If someone is trying to dodge you by setting up a ghost Yahoo account, you won't find them that way. There used to be utilities that could do so, but I've yet to find one for more recent versions of Yahoo or Yahoo Messenger. Yahoo hosts some kind of hacking convention every year and, if I am not mistaken, anyone able to crack their security is paid and basically gagged by a legal document when they accept payment. If you find I am wrong and you've detected some tool, I am interested in your feedback. However, if you are attempting to locate someone who doesn't want to be found, chances are that even the IP address, if determined, will not help terribly much.
