How do you download brushes to gimp?

Answer:
GIMP brushes come in all sorts of shapes, colors and sizes and can easily spice up your images with the click of a mouse. They can be downloaded free at sites like deviantart.com by simply searching "GIMP brushes". Once you have downloaded a brush, it is necessary to move it to the folder that GIMP looks in when loading brushes. I use the drag-and-drop method by opening my downloaded folder of brushes and opening my brush directory. Your brush directory should be under My Computer>C:\>Program Files>GIMP-2.0>Share>GIMP>2.0>Brushes Drag your .gih, .vbr or .abr files into the Brushes folder. Now restart GIMP and your new brushes should be loaded alongside GIMP's standard brushes. The same goes for other GIMP components, such as patterns, scripts, gradients and more. I hope this has helped you!
