Will Verizon get the iPhone?

Will Verizon ever get the latest iPhone at the same time as AT&T?

It looks like the iPhone 4 will be released in February on Verizon and the iPhone 5 will come to AT&T in June. Verizon has historically had a ~6 month lag with their products versus other carriers. Will this pattern continue for the iPhone or will Verizon get in sync with AT&T at some point? It seems crazy to think that Apple could possibly have three versions of their iPhone selling in the US market at the same time. And from a consumer's perspective, it will be frustrating to be six months behind AT&T--particularly considering most of the people who want to jump to Verizon are first adopter types who want the latest handset (but they actually want to be able to make calls).
