Is there any Street Fighter game for pc?

What PC Fighting game has the best online play today?

  • I'm a fan of fighters. I'll play anything from Street fighter, to Melty Blood, DOA, Blaze Blue, Soul Excalibur. I'm looking for a recommendation for based on only two criteria: 1) Runs on a PC. OS doesn't matter, hardware reqs don't matter 2) Has smooth online play. I can configure port forwarding if it's documented, I just need it to be possible 3) People who actually play some version of the game today. Any thoughts?

  • Answer:

I'm a big fan of Skullgirls on PC, which has a good netcode and is constantly being improved with rebalancing and upcoming DLC characters that will be free for the first three months after they're released. If you're into Capcom's Vs. series (MvC2, etc.), it's definitely worth checking out. The King of Fighters XIII is also pretty good. I've been a fan of SNK's fighting games since I first encountered Fatal Fury Special at a local fast food joint when I was a kid. Hopefully, by the time Ultra Street Fighter 4 comes out on PC, the transition to Steamworks will have been smooth and improved the netcode significantly. If you're okay with more unorthodox fighters, Divekick is also pretty fun and cheaper than the rest. Unfortunately, all of these games only run on Windows PCs at this point, however there is a Linux port currently being developed for Skullgirls, which will lead to an eventual Mac port as well, IIRC.
