• Attention seekers. yes! Those who fake and those who are actually worth nothing but still try to hog the limelight but are rarely accepted by the society as worthy individuals.

  The Kardashians. Their whole existence is predicated on the notion that the public pay attention to them. Stop paying attention and they become less of an annoyance. Really, a good amount of reality TV "stars" fit this same role. Granted, most aren't on the same level as Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton, but they're still there. "The Situation" is a shamless self-promoter and does quite well with that. I should note that it seems as though over the last few years that Paris Hilton may have gotten much of that out of her system, or it could be that the public has moved on. As far as attention-seeking, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj (and Katy Perry, to a lesser extent) -- or more accurately, their designers (because, let's face it, those women have all had an image created for them) feel it's necessary to be visual spetacles. Now, you can argue with me about their apparent talent and neither of us would be right, but there is something insidious about the three of them.
