What are the tasks of process operator?

What's the best process (and tools) for managing email, tasks, and notes?

  • I recently landed on my own personal process, using Omnifocus, Evernote and Dropbox - wrote about it here http://jeffhilimire.com/2012/04/i-finally-figured-out-my-plan-for-email-to-dos-note-taking-and-the-cloud/ - but I'm curious how others have attacked this and what tools you've used.

Hi Jeff, I love Wunderlist for to-do's. It's not perfect, but it syncs to my Mac, iPhone and iPad, and it works with Windows, too. I'm a fan of Evernote and Dropbox as well, but can never seem to get a good system for what's on my hard drive vs. Dropbox. I also like Nimble as a lightweight CRM, it ties to my email, calendar and social accounts. It's good for tracking clients, projects, new business opportunities, etc.

http://ifttt.com/ has been great for connecting my different social/productivity platforms together. Other than that, I use Things, for my to-do's, Simplenote for spontaneous note-taking, Sparrow for e-mail, and Reeder as my RSS reader.

Have a look at IQTell. It has an email client,  full featured tasks,  highly customisable integration with evernote, cross platform. It's become indispensable to a lot of folks.
