Where do medical researchers go to look for jobs?

Is there a job board that medical research go to? How do people typically find their jobs in this field?

Answer:
Various places I have advertised as an employer (R&D at PatientsLikeMe), not a job seeker, your mileage may vary ;-) CraigsList: $25 for an ad, and widely read by highly technical people in certain cities like Boston or SF. Found one of our best employees through there in fact so I always use it now! Referrals: Many of our employees and members of our social networks reach out to us with connections; we've taken on a few people that way usually at a more junior level. We now have a referral bonus program in place. Conferences: Nothing like speaking at a conference to have people write to you afterwards looking for a job =) Twitter: We tweet our vacancies, and in particular what helps is having those RT'd by Twitterers that are respected and who like us, particularly when they add their own personal note about working for us. Our own product: "Eat your own dog food" as they say in business... Many members of our site do write to us asking if we have opportunities for them. Collaborations: I'm working with great people in collaborations and I know that if some of them were looking for jobs any time soon, I'd argue to create a job for them, no doubt =) Internships: Great opportunity for both sides to look before they leap and get course credit / specific projects out of the equation. Again, taken on a few people that way. NewScientist: Well targeted audience in theory, but in practice get lots of low-quality applicants applying in a scattergun way for anything. If I have a job ad out for a clinical outcomes researcher on NewScientist, I'm going to get 5-10 form letters a day telling me they'd love to work in my lab and that they're handy with a pipette. Perhaps more relevant for lab research? LinkedIn: (a little expensive and not research-specific enough for the job ads, but I have used my network to reach out to people 1:1 for referrals or to send them a job ad and that's been helpful). Recruiters: In a specific industry, a specific field, and a good well-networked recruiter, these can be useful, especially for people that are "not currently looking for a job". However fees are expensive so not a preferred route. HealthEconomics.com: OK this is being very specific to my industry now but this site is a combination news portal / mailing list / job site for many people that work in my field. Ads here are reasonable but most importantly the quality of people that apply from here are better than other sources. Why? They're the people I'm looking for, they research us before submitting, and they are usually connected to us through some sort of network tangentially (I use LinkedIn to check). Our own careers page: We do of course have one of these (http://www.patientslikeme.com/about/careers) but someone has to be looking to find that! Clients: Similar to collaborators, there are definitely some folks I'd be interested in bringing on board if they ever moved on from their current roles =)
