Do It Yourself (DIY): Can pouring vinegar in the inside of a steel water bottle possibly cause some contents of the bottle to leech out?

Answer:
Steel is an alloy of iron and other metals. While vinegar may affect some of these metals in different degrees and cause surface oxidation, I wouldn't consider that "leaching" in the same sense as chemical compounds leaching out of a plastic bottle. There isn't really anything "inside" the bottle than the steel itself.
