Hotmail account has been hacked.

My Hotmail account is hacked, it sends spams and malicious to my contacts. How can I recover?

  • I am using for a long time Hotmail but it says "It looks like someone else might be using your account " and I guess it is hacked in some way. My account is also used for some span messaging to people inside the contacts. I cannot use any option to recover my account. Do you know any way to solve that problem with the account? Do you know any place to talk with about the issue?

    Change your password. If that doesn't fix it, the account itself isn't compromised, but rather your identity information from the account has been stolen (e.g., someone recorded your e-mail address and got your list of contacts). It's not necessary to have access to your account to send out e-mails in your name, nor is it necessary to have access to the contacts list to e-mail them (they need only by copied once).

Verify your hotmail account with your mobile no.(they will send you a verification code on your mobile which obviously you can read) Drop a mail to hotmail customer care team. Change your password (after verifying your mobile no. you would be able to do that)
