How do I edit a Facebook Page status update?
-
Is it at all possible to get Facebook to make a change if it isn't possible to edit an update directly? A status update that hundreds have liked and on which dozens have commented, has some erroneous information that has to be changed. I can delete the post but that's going to upset a lot of people who participated. Is there not a way to address such issues??

Answer:
The best way to go about this would be to delete the status, and issue an update/apology, with the corrected data. The reach of this post might not be as large as your previous status, but then again, if you were allowed to edit the original status, the people which have viewed the post with the wrong data, would not be updated anyways. Note - You can edit the post if it is accompanied by an image, but people who have viewed will still not be updated on the changes.
