How do I contact Facebook to undo a memorialized profile so that family members can use it?
-
This is urgent, please. A while ago, my best friend shot himself dead. His profile was still visible and people could still log in, so I thought the right thing to do was to request the profile to be marked as in memorialized state. I request people to give me photos of the orbituary and with enough proof, I got the profile marked as memorialized. Little did I know that his ex-girlfriend and family still logged into the account to remember him, since he didn't list either family member or girlfriend as friends. The ex sent me a message saying what I have done and I explained it to her. I really had no idea and it would have never occurred to me that they may use the profile in such ways. So it is really, really important I get the profile marked as not memorialized. I have looked like crazy. I wanted to contact Facebook, but there's no way to do that. I have sent an e-mail to and I got an instant response to the same useless FAQ page I was looking in for an answer. Facebook has a very poor costumer support service and this has screwed me for 3 days no. So please, does anyone know of a way to contact Facebook to get the profile marked as not memorialized? Maybe some Quora users are Facebook employees that could give me a hand? I will be infinitely in debth with whoever helps me get this profile marked as 'normal' again.

Answer:
There is really no way to do this - it's technically in violation of Facebook's user agreement policies, and as such, won't be reversed.

Unfortunately, the way they are using his Profile is against Facebook's policies. Only one person is supposed to be using a Facebook Profile. If they're looking to use his profile as a memorial where friends and family can share memories, many people often create Facebook Pages or Facebook Groups for that purpose. Typically, a memorialized Profile https://www.facebook.com/help/146677972070075/, and the account holder can verify his/her identity If the family members want to access the person's content, you can send a request to Facebook, but it is a lengthy process and will https://www.facebook.com/help/123355624495297/.
