To fix the remote sensor on an Xbox 360 controller Clean the power connection pads. On the back of the controller, you will see a power pack. Release this power pack by pressing the button on the top on the controller. Once removed, make sure that the small connector pads are clean. Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean these pads.
