Things to bring camping?

What are important things to bring on a camping trip ? I never been camping before but next Friday im going camping.

Plenty. Most importantly, something to create a fire, signal for help, a map (with grids is ideal - especially if you get lost), a good multipurpose hand tool, sustainable foods - jerky, dried fruit for example. Check with your local sporting goods shop, they may have a "Camper's Checklist". Be safe, have fun!

Sleeping bag, pillow, clothes, swim suit, extra socks, towel, rain gear, toothpaste and brush, soap, dirty laundry bag, bug spray, flashlight and anything personal like a book, phone, deck of cards, etc.

I don't think anyone said MATCHES yet. I'd have zip lock bags too. How about a credit card for the first morning to get a room, after u vow never to go camping again. lol
