Physical therapy career help?

I want to get into some type of a health care therapy/technician career, but it's hard to decide! Could anyone with any info please help?

  • I'm interested in nursing, but Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Respiratory therapy are two other careers which greatly interest me. Nuclear Medicine Technology also looks very cool. But I'm really confused. I would like to start out making at lest 50K, and only having a 40 hr. week. Of course, everyone does! If you have any info on these subjects, could you please post anything to help me!? Also, if there are other similar careers which you know of and are good careers could you note? Lastlydhhow good

  • Answer:

In Diagnostic Medical Sonography, normal pathology and anatomy images are generated using waves that are of high frequency. For respiratory therapy, you will be trained to specialize in pulmonary and cardiac medicine and nursing. Both are great choices and you can consult a school advisor to learn what is needed in both and what is required of you. This should help you make a definite decision.

Sonograghy is a very good choice, they have good hours they pay starts out pretty well and rises with experience and its less nerve racking then some medical positions. physical therapy takes less college but the pay isn't as much. you are looking at the BIG fields right now with lots of college so just take a look at something smaller to at least have a basis of comparison
