Steps to becoming a CRNA?

  • So I just graduated high school, and didn't get the fire to move ahead so I decided to take a year off from school to work a crap job, and now I'm realizing what I want to do. So where do I start? I was planning to go to a community college first to get general ed out of the way, then move on to fry bigger fish. Is that a good idea or a waste of time? And which schools are the best to go to to become a CRNA? What kind of degree do you need to have? I was planning on getting a masters in something... Sorry if I sorry if I sound dumb, this was kind of a decision I made recently and haven't done a ton of research yet. Also, are there any website that have some really good information on this process? Finally, I'm kind of bad at math, is that a big part of the job? Thanks, appreciate anyone who can answer any of these questions!

  • Answer:

To become a CRNA, you should have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. It will be a good idea if you start in the community college first before going to the university. Maths is not part of the CRNA but you will have to do some sciences. Get detailed information on http://allnurses.com/pre-crna-inquiry/how-become-crna-123275.html.
