What's an easy way to learn to play guitar solos?

  • I can play buried alive by avenged sevenfold pretty well since its an easy song but the one thing that always gets me are the solos x-x I just suck so bad at soloing. what's a good way to get better at it?

    if you learn the scale he is using for the key of the song it will make learning the solo a lot easier.. sounds terrible and tedious.. but it will make future solos a lot easier to learn and make it easier to create your own..

I learned by youtube tutorials and some i learned by just listening to them over and over I have never taken a guitar class im teaching myself

Remember, scales are your best buddies for soloing. Find out what scales are used and learn them. Sadly, scales are a little on the dull and boring side. Remember to use alternate picking, and speed is something you get from technique. Get a metronome, set it to a slow speed and play through the scale in time. Eventually you'll get better at scales, which will help a lot with guitar (especially with metal).
