Your iPod won't hold a charge because of exposure to extreme temperatures that reduce the battery life of the iPod. If you store your iDevice in temperatures below four degrees Fahrenheit or much higher than 113 degrees, lasting damage to the battery may occur, which will negatively affect the iPod's ability to hold a charge. You can take it to Apple and have them repair the battery, a procedure that would cost you about $100.00.
