So, I'm using the trial version of adobe photoshop, and I'm trying to edit colorful eyes in to a monochrome picture

but whenever I select a color, it says it's there, but it always shows up as a monochrome color. I'm using a different layer on top of it, how do I fix this???

Answer:
if your image is in a monochromatic format you can't add "color" you need to convert the monochrome image to RGB :)

Most trail versions of programs are not usually reliable because they lack some of the vital drivers and updates. The important thing to do is to get the latest version of the program and edit the pictures. Visit http://www.photoshop.com/ for more details.
