What are some best practices and good resources for setting up a LAMP server on Ubuntu 12.04?

From a fresh install of Ubuntu, what would you install. From getting apache, php, mysql running to installing php modules like APC etc - looking for tips, must haves and best practices.

Answer:
If your machine is intended for LAMP usage, you should probably use the LAMP task from tasksel . Tasksel allows you to pre-install pre made packages in 1 very simple command line. So you would do: sudo tasksel install lamp-server and you are done. See Here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Tasksel
