What is a webinar app that doesn't suck?
-
I need to find a webinar app that is user friendly for first time users. Ideally, they will register and receive and email with a link that will just let them in without have to login, download anything, add meeting codes, update Java or any other nonsense. Accept that a pin will be needed for the phone part but that just needs to be simple too. Ideal features: 1. After registration, 1 click entry 2. option to use phone or computer for audio 3. ability to approve/reject those who register 4. ability for guest to submit (text) questions 5. no downloads or uploads required 6. iOS/Android versions (not mandatory) So far, GotoWebinar etc are just too complicated and fraught with issues. Any recommendations?

My company, BrightTALKâ¢, would be able to fulfill the majority of your requirements. We have a one time registration feature for the audience. Essentially they're creating a user name and password and then we cookie their login information in their browser so upon their return to your BrightTALK⢠Channel (the webinar and video platform) they can simply click to attend without the necessity of a registration form. We designed our technology with both the presenter and user in mind so, I think you would find the experience to be pretty intuitive. We set aside a secure conference line for the presenters and the audience listens and participates through VOIP (the internet). A dial-in phone line for the audience can be arranged but, as an added service. I'd be happy to explain further how our technology might meet your requirements. Feel free to email me at or call me directly at 415-625-1539. Cheers, Liam

Gilles here from http://bit.ly/ls-quora-webconference. Here's the answer I gave here: The webinar software that does not suck is the one that will fix the webinar problem. Webinars are broken. They are a great business driver BUT the existing tools are not exploiting the webinar to its full potential. Here are the main problems: Poor UX overall (extra software to install, old UI...) No real relevant data on your audience (registrants/attendees is not good enough) No interconnection between tools (I want my webinars data everywhere) You should look for a tool that will solve those problems.Hopefully, at Livestorm we are working on those 3 main issues. We will provide features to address the webinar problem. You can http://bit.ly/ls-quora-webconference.Here are our key features: Some of our key features are: 100% in-the-browser HD webinars with webcam/screensharing Automated logistic and custom registration pages Deep analytics based on demographical and behavioral data Advanced audience segmentation CRM integrations (Segment, Salesforce, Hubspotâ¦) Of you course we will provide the basic webinar requirements: replay, chat, q&a section, polls, multi-presenter etc.We want to make webinars smarter, simpler and more efficient.
