Need help with my digital movie camera?

Is there a way to get clips from your JVC Everio camera and load them into Windows Movie Maker. Please I need help. I would really love to edit my clips in Movie Maker?

  • Answer:

Use your Windows Photo Gallery to import the video from your JVC to your computer's Desktop (so that they are easy to locate). Once you have them on the desktop you will need to convert them to one of the following formats compatible with Windows Movie Maker: .asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv Video converters are available online. Google: free video converters and download one. Once you have a video converter installed, browse and add one of the JVC video files from your desktop to the conversion pane. In the converter program, choose your 'Output Source Format' which has to be one of the file name extensions (formats) listed above. Click Convert. Once your video is converted to one of the formats compatible with Windows Movie Maker, you can import/edit the video in the program. Just make sure the conversion format is one of those listed above.
