Answer:
Blood blisters may develop on the scalp for a variety of reasons. It can occur from serious circumstances such as trauma, or from minor issues that cause the blood to pool to the skin. Treatment requires sanitation of the area and draining the blister, if applicable. If you cannot treat or see the area yourself, it is best to have someone available who can assist you in doing so. Difficulty: Easy Things You'll Need Soap Water Rubbing alcohol Needle Antibiotic ointment Instructions Drain the blister if it is larger than 1 inch in diameter. Any blister smaller than 1 inch will heal on its own without treatment. Sanitize your hands before draining by first washing them with soap before touching the area containing the blister. Sanitize a needle using soap or rubbing alcohol and rinse it. Penetrate the blister gently with the needle and squeeze the fluid out from the opening. Wash your hands and the blister using soap, and use a clean cloth or cotton ball to dry it gently. Dab the area with antibiotic cream. You may need to apply it a few times. Apply fresh ointment each time you wash your hair. Avoid using anything containing alcohol because it may dry the area out too fast or prevent it from healing. Avoid touching the area whenever possible. Use acetaminophen or other anti-inflammatory medications for minor pains during the healing process. Itching is a normal side effect and may occur throughout the healing process. Avoid scratching the blister until it heals. Keep the area thoroughly cleaned at all times. If you experience excruciating pain, puss or fever, consult your physician right away because you may experience infection. Avoid wearing hats or combing the area containing the blister until it heals.
