How do you find the energy level of an element?

What relationship can be drawn about the energy level that an element's valence electron is located in and the period that it falls in?

  • My summer school homework and I can't find the answer to this question, please help. Thanks!

  • Answer:

Valence electrons. The greater the valance number and the further down the periods the elements will be. Look at your periodic table!
