How can I convince my parents to let me apply to a fine arts school?

  • I want to go apply to a fine arts school for the eighth grade, but its an hour and forty minutes from where I live so I would have to board. I've never made anything less than an A on a report card, I've never been written up, never gotten a pink slip, and I think I'm good at creative writing, which is the department I want to apply to. Boarding would be pretty expensive, but I think we could get financial aid because of the distance we live from the school and for my grades. How can I convince my parents to let me apply?

    If this is what you want to do for a living, and you're really good at it, they should let you if you explain that to them. Or you could do something SUPER nice for them and say nothing.
