How do you set up an iTunes account without a credit card?

If you have an iTunes gift card while trying to set up an iTunes account from your iPad, is it still necessary to give credit card info?

  • A bunch of people have told me you don't need a credit card but when ever I try it tells me I need one? Please help!

    Yes you do need to give the credit card info because if your card runs out and you try to buy something, then it won't be billed to anything. Your credit card won't be charged until your card runs out and you try to buy something though.

You can open an iTunes account without credit card however, you should have iTunes gift card. To open account start by, opening iTunes and click "Store" on the top navigation bar. Secondly, enter your email address. Next, scratch off the gray film on the back of your iTunes Gift card and enter the code.
