Answer:
He is always listening, but the point is not that your thinking bad things. The point is you are resisting doing them & that is what God is paying attention to.

Yes god listens to us... It says in the bible that he knows our every thought.. He knows what we do before we even do it.. He knows what we need before we even ask it.. God knows and is very awesome.. Think good thought.. Not bad.. :-)

All these answers are very true. Thinking a bad thought is just the same as doing something verbally or physically. It is a sin and u need to repent so God forgives you.

According to Jesus' teaching ... thinking of doing a sin is the same thing as doing it.

Matthew 9:4 4 But Jesus, knowing[a] their thoughts, said, ?Why do you THINK evil in your hearts? - (Acts 8:22) "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the THOUGHT of your heart may be forgiven you". - (Matthew 5:28) "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" - (Matthew 15.19,20) "For out of the heart proceed evil THOUGHTS, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man." -

That's a great question When you think about it, our actions start out in our thoughts. And that is what the Bible says. It tells us that sin begins in our heart and thoughts and sometimes by entering through our eyes, leading to desires that are wrong. Jesus actually answered your question by saying that we can sin by desiring things that our wrong even if we do not carry out the desire. So that is the bad news in answer to your question. But the good news is that we all sin, both in our thoughts and wrong desires, and also in our actions. And God knows we are sinful and provides a way to be reconciled to him and receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ. So live as holy as you are able but understand the importance of what Jesus did for you and accept forgiveness through him.

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."-unknown at the moment Alma 12:14 For our words will condemn us, yea, all our works will condemn us; we shall not be found spotless; and our thoughts will also condemn us; and in this awful state we shall not dare to look up to our God; and we would fain be glad if we could command the rocks and the mountains to fall upon us to hide us from his presence. Matthew 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. On Matthew, where do you think words come from? It takes a thought to make a word, and it takes words to make an action. Everything comes from our thoughts. Our thoughts, whether they are positive, negative, filthy, or pure, have an affect on our attitude towards things and what we say and do. Our thoughts DO matter. And God can read our thoughts. In genesis, before God created the flood, it says that God saw that men thought evil continually. (gen.5) When the day comes that God will come to judge us, he will judge us by the desires of our hearts, our deeds, our THOUGHTS, and so forth. God created us, he knows us individually, and he knows our every thought. Yes, our thoughts are very important. Watch your thoughts! If there is anything lovely, virtuous, good, or praiseworthy, think on those things. sometimes, when I am struggling with my thoughts, I try and replace it with a good thought or song, or I pray. we aren't expected to be perfect, but we are expected to try, and to repent.
