What program can I download to make GIFS/Animations from videos?

You Know Getube a program that makes you able to download videos well mines doesn't work i try to download a video and it doesn't show up

when i download a video it doesn't pop up in the files and i don't see it and i cant make videos with ImovieHD on mac so im wondering what can i do for it to work
