What is brazil's national anthem?

I pay 978$ for med. insurance and i am pregnant. anthem will not cover anything related to the pregnancy. is this legal.

  • i pay extra for maturnity by the way. anthem says i have to pay into a fund for at the least 9 months or 266 days. my due date is feb 10th and they wont pay for anything till feb 8th. i need to get my blood work done now. i applied for assisance and dont qualify for any. what if i deliver 3 days early? is this legal for anthem to do this? in april i switched insurance from anthem to anthem. from group plan to individual because my husbands new job doesnt offer there own insurance. there was no laps in insurance and i have had anthem for a few years. im so upset by this. what can i do?

    If the pregnancy was covered by the "group plan" ... you may want to ask why it isn't covered by the "individual plan". The only reason I can think of, is you actually changed insurance - rather than continuing under COBRA. And in that case, all the limits on "pre-existing conditions" reset to zero ... which is what it sounds like happened. And yes, it's legal.

The anthem scheme covers pregnancy health issues based on the date you joined the plan. Pregnancy does not count as a pre-existing condition. Once your waiting period is met, services related to a pre-existing condition are eligible for coverage.
