• RSS feeds are incredibly powerful - enabling readers to get all the information they care about in one place. This all kicked off years and years ago. However, the use of feeds never became mainstream, because usage has never been very intuitive. The rise of people reading news on twitter with 1-click follows has been evidence enough of how making reading news intuitive is key. However, with the iPad, we're starting to see numerous apps pop up all over the place - allowing users to read their news in new formats. One of the best examples is Pulse (http://www.alphonsolabs.com/). So what are feeds missing? Is there simply too much content? Is there a lack of intuivity?

  I think RSS feeds are very important and very powerful. The reason why people have not embraced RSS feeds is because they are written in a language that non-technical people cannot understand called XML, but that should not be an issue, because when people see how powerful RSS feeds are in distributing their website and blog content to other websites, it shows that RSS feeds are not missing at all.
