How to set alarms in android?

What percent of Android phones are set to allow installation of apps from outside Android Market?

  • Android phones are normally set (by default) to not allow installation of apps from outside Android Market. On what percent of devices has the user changed this setting to allow it?

  • Answer:

I don't have a specific answer to your question but I do have a few thoughts on this topic that might help: Some carriers (e.g. - AT&T) completely remove the ability for phones to install apps from outside the market I do some customer support for our Android users and the vast majority of them are not that technical and have no interest in installing apps from channels other than the Android Market If you forced me to take a guess at the specific percentage of devices that changed this setting, I would guess it would be sub 5%

I don't have a concrete answer for you but I believe the number of phones allowing outside apps" is set to rise when Amazon release their AppStore as it's going to have to require users to allow "unknown sources".
