Why doesn't MySQL upload my data properly?

Is there an Excel plugin to upload and download data from a mysql database?

  • Answer:

For the longest time I was looking for ways to connect to my MySQL databases that I had located on my hosted server for my website.  With the amount of information that people currently store on MySQL database and just the sheer amount of different softwares that are available as content management systems or even cloud based ERP software that use MySQL, it's clear that having a direct connection into Microsoft Excel would be super handy.  For that reason I found a way to use a MySQL connector, an ODBC connection, and Microsoft query to connect in my case to a Wordpress database directly from Microsoft Excel. You can have a look at how to do this here: http://bradedgar.com/personal-blogs-e-commerce-websites-and-your-data-a-how-to-setup-guide-on-running-your-data-through-excel/ If you are looking for a solution for a local MySQL database connection, let me know. I hope this help. Cheers Brad
