Is Peter Murphy's solo stuff any good?

What happens in the spider room when Peter touches something and then stuff falls apart, resulting in a spider landing on Peter?

• Answer:

  The room full of spiders is where spiders webs are harvested by Oscorp to create the bio-cable that Peter later uses in the movie as web fluid. The machine in the room stops as soon as Peter touches one of the webs. Peter is obviously not supposed to be there (he breaks into the room using Ratha's access code), there are hazmat suits in the room just before the spider room. I can only assume that as soon as Peter touched the web, automatic safety protocols kicked in and the spiders were "recalled" to wherever they go to when they're not spinning webs. The people who created the system probably didn't expect anyone to enter a room full of poisonous genetically engineered super-spiders without a hazmat suit, hence the spiders dropping to the floor and on top of Peter.
