Why does Google not index all my pages?

Why won't Google index some pages despite the amount and quality of intra and external links?

• Case in point, this Wordpress page http://www.bestsellerauthors.com/blog/2010/12/06/best-authors-system-how-to-write-a-book/ has been up for a couple of days, linked to from the homepage of a PR4 website and a few other blogs on different c blocks, yet it won't index.

  So 6 years ago we would splatter 1-2 Google AdSense ads on a page we were struggling to get indexed. Today, we have to be methodical, especially when we're talking about a Wordpress page with RSS and XML feeds, which on any other website would get indexed in about 15 minutes. There's a link on the homepage on two of my own websites, a link in Twitter, in Facebook and shared on other websites already, but as of 12/6 11pm PST - the page is not indexed. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=site%3Awww.bestsellerauthors.com%2Fblog%2F2010%2F12%2F06%2Fbest-authors-system-how-to-write-a-book%2F Other thoughts that may work is having those with the Google Toolbar installed perform the search for the page and then navigate it to directly. This way Google recognizes the search and the choice and could make an inference.
