Do users tend to go deeper into later pages with tile display format vs list display?

For List display (E.g. Search Engine results) users tend to stop on page 1 and never look into later pages. I believe it is also because list display tend to implicitly express a ranking order, thus users are only interested in the first few items. Will users have greater tendency to move into later pages in a tile display page (E.g. AngelList).

I see where you're going with the question, but I've never seen any evidence to support your theory that tiled lists would create higher engagement than stacked lists. In a task-based scenario like search, I'd expect users to be less engaged or more easily frustrated by lists without an implied relevance ranking. But for users who are casually browsing information, your guess is as good as mine.
