When you move music files to another folder, what is the best way to update your iTunes library?

Is there another way to do it besides manually removing the songs referring back to the old location? What if it's only one group of songs?

iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > iTunes Media folder location Click the Change button from there.

If its only one group of songs, just add aliases to the original iTunes folder that point to the new folder. iTunes will support this without any problems. On a Mac, it's as easy as moving the files, selecting them, and hitting CMD L, then dragging the aliases back to the original spot. iTunes will think they're the right files but instead load them from the new location.
