Do prepended advertisements on videos reduce the likelihood that the video will get shared?
-
I'd like to see any research on this. Anecdotally (n=1=me) I am less likely to share or post a video if the people I'm sharing it with have to watch an ad first. I am especially less likely if I don't know what the ad is in advance. I've been burned by sharing video with horrible ads randomly prepended; I'm sure the people I was sharing with closed the video before the ad stopped running.

Answer:
For me, yeah it'd definitely make me less likely to share.
