What are budgeting approaches?

Simple (company): I'm super excited for your launch, and I'm eager to hear more about your budgeting features. Have you considered an envelope style budgeting feature?

• I know this isn't your primary focus, but I suspect your users would appreciate it. http://Mint.com isn't really that great for budgeting, despite their best efforts, and the only envelope style budgeting app I know of, http://mvelopes.com, sucks (and is expensive). I'd love to see a basic envelope style budgeting feature in BankSimple.

  Hi! Yes, BankSimple will have a really awesome (in my opinion) budgeting feature called Goals. You will set a goal, set a timeline, and BankSimple will automatically put aside money on a daily basis. You'll be able to change the timeline, put in lump-sums to reduce your daily contribution, and other toggles. You'll also be able to "lock" the goal, which means that if you overspend on your BankSimple card, where money would usually be taken from one of your savings goals, your card will decline instead. This is in case you have some sort of hard deadline to meet. There will be lots more info available about this soon.
