How do I search for a Bengali magazine?

What is a free search engine that can take me to high quality newspaper/magazine content (a la LexisNexis, EBSCO, Factiva)?

  • Say I'm looking to read the five finest articles about Quentin Tarantino published in the past decade. Articles that might have appeared in The Atlantic, New Yorker, Granta, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Guardian, etc. Publications from this list: http://www.aldaily.com/#magazines But also publications like The Believer or n+1 or LA Weekly—or even some great lit magazine in Tasmania. I want the definitive works. (I'd always thought that combing the footnotes of a wikipedia article would take me there, but this is a very erratic technique.) I realize that there are academic and professional databases, and I know Google has a limited magazine search function...but is there anything like an online boutique search engine that only returns the good stuff?

  • Answer:

You can use google archive search. Also, you can use blekko's  /news or /topnews slashtags, or make your own slashtag. Even better, or the best solution for you is to make your custom google search engine, http://www.google.com/cse/ to search only websites you want.
