  Here is my selection of "small museums" from the exhaustive Answer Wiki we built on Musée Rodin (M° Varenne or Invalides):  a small, beautiful museum entirely devoted to Rodin's work; you'll see  the original of "le Penseur" & "le Baiser" for instance. La Sainte Chapelle -  not exactly a museum but an astonishing jewel box of a medieval chapel filled with stained glass Musée de l'Orangerie, the small museum handpicked and designed by Claude Monet to exhibit some of his most famous works. The cycle of water lily paintings (the Nympheas)  on the ground floor is utterly unforgettable. This museum is a  beautiful example of the environment and presentation of the piece  adding substantially to the experience of viewing a great work of art. Musée de la Contrefaçon (Museum of Counterfeiting), near the Porte Dauphine Métro station. If you are interested in consumer  products, branding, and trademarks, you might enjoy it. It is a project  of the Union des Fabricants (manufacturers of products), so it is not  about the counterfeiting of currency. You can see authentic and  counterfeit products juxtaposed next to each other in display cases and  see how difficult it can be to tell them apart.
