How to integrate 3rd party documents with sharepoint search?

Is there a Universal Google Search Across All Products?

  • I have migrated from Google Notebooks to Evernote to Springpad in the past 3 years. Now I have returned back to Google but there really isn't a one stop do it all data locker in Google's arsenal (Google Docs comes close) comparable to the likes of Evernote and Springpad which makes saving and retrieval easy as it is an all in one repository though this can also lead to information overload and organisational nightmare on the long run. So I have my data now split across Google Products; Docs, Bookmarks, Picasa, Tasks, Calendar - I really want a universal search solution that can tap into all these directories simultaneously, at least for Docs, Bookmarks, and Picasa. Tasks and Calendar is mainly for GTD so those are action orientated and I can separate what I want to find that way. Google Quick Search Box only searches Docs, Bookmarks, and Picasa - but the latest version adds Calendar search too. I had problems with Percipitate not being able to search Bookmarks but only Docs. I try avoid CloudMagic as I don't want to index my Google Data with a 3rd party and moreover they do not include Picasa Photos. What Do You Love is not a personal search. So based on all these it would appear that Google Quick Search Box is my best bet but am open to further suggestions - also on Android I have added Searchify but there is no search for Picasa Mobile or Bookmarks Mobile - only the desktop versions and even then I would have to do so individually one at a time. Is there an app for Picasa and Bookmarks respectively that would integrate the search with the Android Search Widget? Thank you. Google Quick Search Box Percipitate What Do You Love? CloudMagic

Thanks for the mention. Please try CloudMagic. Besides it being a universal search solution, it enhances your productivity by delivering blazing fast search results. I agree that you are not comfortable with a third party accessing your data. Just wanted to add that user privacy is of the utmost importance to us. The indexed data is stored in secure Amazon servers. Link to our Privacy Policy - https://cloudmagic.com/k/privacypolicy. Storing data on our servers helps us give you device independence. One account and it works across different platforms - Mac, PC, iPhone and Android. BTW, Picasa and many other services are in our wishlist. We are adding more services constantly. We will keep you posted. Cheers, Chirag
