Pune, Maharashtra, India: How to I get the PMC to start a bus service in a particular area?

  • I work in a famous IT hub in Pune. Despite more than 5000 employees here, there is no bus service to and from here to other major localities in Pune. How do I change this? How do I get the PMC to introduce a bus service?

    Don't know a definite way. But I've often read posts in the Letters to the Editor (वाचकांचा पत्रव्यवहार) column in Sakal (सकाळ) newspaper where people request for a bus service from point A to point B. Don't know how effective it is, but it certainly is one easy thing you can do, considering the popularity of Sakal.

Try writing to them, but I'm afraid it's an uphill task. The PMPML will drag its feet on it; it isn't without reason that Pune's municipal transport service is considered one of the worst in the country.
