Find all IP addresses on router?

Why does my uverse router assign duplicate ip addresses?

  • Sometimes when I add a new computer to my home network (AT&T Uverse Wireless Router) I get an error message on that new computer that says there is an IP Address conflict, and the new computer will not get Internet access.   It appears that the same IP address is assigned twice. How can I prevent this and make sure the router assigns unique addresses? Why would the router even do this?

  • Answer:

How many computers have you connected to your router and is your router using a dynamic IP or a static IP? You also need to check your modem/router is in Bridged mode or is the IP getting changed dynamically, if you have a dynamic IP.
