Why do my emails delete after reading them in Outlook 2003?

How do I remove a duplicate inbox from Outlook 2003?

  • In the list of folders (folder bar on the left), there are two entries for my inbox, both with the same name, and same contents of emails. Outlook will not let me delete either of them, and when I try it gives me the same reason for both- that it is the default email account, and you're not allowed to delete it. Please help. I'm not sure how it got this way, one of my co-workers must have done it, and it is slowing down the program.

    If one of the folders is listed under Favorites, then you're not seeing a duplicate, you're seeing the same folder listed in two places.  That's normal.  If you don't want to see favorites, then switch to Folder List view instead of Mail view.
