Is there a way to run iOS apps on a mac without the full simulator?
-
There are a handful of apps for my iPhone I'd love to run on my mac as a mini-app. I may be able to do it running XCode and the simulator, but wondering if there is a more low overhead approach?
-
Answer:
Unless the application is actually a pure HTML5 / JavaScript application, the answer is No, unfortunately. Of course, some applications are purely web-based (i.e., GMail), while others have a web-based alternative (Wunderlist) that mimic the native interface on your Mac. Other applications that are Objective-C based will require the entire simulator in order to run.
