My Facebook account has been deactivated, what do I do?

Who should I contact at Facebook to reclaim an email associated with a deactivated Facebook account that I now want to associate with my primary Facebook account?

  • Years ago when I was actively developing Facebook applications I signed up for multiple accounts.  Yes, I know, a violation of Facebook's TOS. Facebook justifiably deactivated one of those accounts, but the primary email address associated with it is one I'd like to associate with my main Facebook profile. I don't care about the duplicate account -- it can be deleted.  I just want to associate that email address with my main account, now.  Because the duplicate account has been deactivated, I can't delete it myself. Who should I contact to get this sorted out?

  • Answer:

Can you login with the e-mail to the old account? If so, you should be able to just change the old account to some other e-mail address.
