How much programming should a business person learn in order to produce a minimum viable product (say a basic version of Quora), what type of programming should I learn, how should I to learn it and how long should it take me to learn it?

Hey Alex - For a businessperson such as yourself, I would recommend learning about programming rather than programming per se. Learning enough about programming to create a viable product would be a huge undertaking. For example, creating a simple version of Quora could entail learning five or more technologies and programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML, and CSS). I think a better approach would be to learn a little bit about programming to help you manage or work with a programmer. For this, I highly recommend some of the introductory computer science and/or programming courses available free on iTunes U.
