What is warmest boots for winter?

What are the warmest waterproof winter boots?

  • My girlfriend is hunting for some really warm, water- and snow-proof  winter boots and all we find is fashionable crap. Okay, we're quite late and "Sorel" is sold out pretty much everywhere. Not even sure, that's the best. What do you outdoorsmen and -women rely on to keep your feet warm and dry and comfy?

  • Answer:

I love the brand La Canadienne. They are on the pricey side but are well made, durable, warm and waterproof. They are more fashionable than most practical boots. There are many more styles. Check out their website and see!Canadians know a thing or two about making cold weather boots.http://www.lacanadienneshoes.com/us/boots.html?boots_function=13

What about a pair of classic LL. Bean Pac boots? My wife had a pair that she swore by. Very similar in quality to the Sorels that I have, but slightly more compact. No affiliation etc. just a happy customer. http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506588?page=womens-boots&nav=ln-609

Sorel is certainly a great brand of winter boots, and they're actually not sold out (yet) on ShoeBuy: http://www.shoebuy.com/sorel-winter-boots/category_51968! Whether you go that route or not, though, here are some general features to look for: GORE-TEX® is a popular brand of waterproof liners made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Try saying that three times fast. While some may argue GORE-TEX® isn't exactly an insulator in that it doesn't retain heat, per se, its ability to keep feet dry while also allowing ventilation and sweat evaporation is crucial, and finding winter boots that include a GORE-TEX® membrane may be the first step to choosing the warmest pair. Thinsulate™ is a brand of thin, highly insulating fabric made from polypropylene fibers provides warmth by trapping air molecules in its microfibers. Commonly used in shoes, outdoor clothing, and sleeping bags, Thinsulate™ and other synthetic insulators like it offer durable protection from cold and wet conditions without adding much bulk. Typically, the insulation value of a winter boot that contains Thinsulate™ is measured by the weight of the Thinsulate™ in grams per square meter of insulation, and ranges from 100 gram insulation to 1000 gram insulation. The higher the number (i.e. the more Thinsulate™ the boot contains), the warmer it should be. Other great brands to consider: The North Face, UGG, Sperry, Bogs

I would look for something like the Wolverine 1001125, which is a work boot for women.  It's insulated and waterproof.  It also has a removable full cushion footbed.  Wolverine is a large, well respected company that has been around for a long time, and they make a LOT of boots.  So even if the one I suggested isn't quite what she's looking for, maybe she'll find something else from them that is!

A lot of women wear rain boots until they get to their destination, then change into their regular shoes. You can do this, or you can figure out a way to style your rain boots that looks so cute. In addition, you can also refer to the type of shoes or accessories winter. Help your girlfriend warm and trendy more. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOovmeHpDNAveePa67fdwZgu3AWmmaSCf
