How to update google chrome?

How does Google Chrome update itself to a newer version?

  • Every time I read that a new version of Google Chrome has released, my Chrome automatically gets updated to the latest. For other browsers (like Opera, Firefox, Safari etc.) whenever a new version is released, we have to do a complete download and install but Chrome does it in background. Why don't other Browsers and Softwares follow this concept?
